Alkira meaning 'bright', 'sunny' and 'sky' is a sublime haven offering the perfect blend of the coast and country nestled in the hinterland. Only one hour from Melbourne, this newly renovated 4-bedroom, 2 bathroom abode has breathtaking views across Port Phillip Bay to the Bellarine Peninsula and a backdrop of the magnificent hills of Arthur's Seat. Sit on the deck and watch the yachts and ships sail by day and the magical lights on the foreshore at night. 

Set on 7 acres of forest and bush land to explore, entertain, picnic and rest, Alkira is private sanctuary only minutes from Dromana, Mount Martha and Point Leo beach and leading wineries in the region.  There is an array of local wildlife and you may well see a friendly wallaby,  kookaburras and the ducks in the dam during your stay.  


The front entry opens to a large, open plan living space featuring a stunning kitchen with large stone island, Smeg oven and Miele dishwasher, extending to living area with King Living suite, 65 inch new Sony Smart TV, fireplace, corner desk or breakfast bar area with glass sliding doors opening out to an expansive, elevated deck.  

A new day pod with shade and sleek outdoor lounge and dining suite provide the ideal setting for entertainment under the pink, sunset skies.  

There are three bedrooms in the main house comprising two queens and two long singles (optional king bed) each with views of the hills to the South and bay. The fourth bedroom with Queen size bed in the ‘industrial’ quarter has an adjoining ensuite and versatile, multi-purpose studio with desk and 180 degree views with access to a second entertaining deck space. The industrial section features a black, steel and weatherboard exterior and offers separate, private accommodation attached to the main house. 

The washing machine is located in the new laundry in the garage space which is an optional studio and play area opening to the second deck which has mountain and bay views. This area offers a space for creativity and separate entertaining, featuring a much loved Pearl drum kit.  

Other features of this beautiful property include ducted heating/cooling, Smart TV, Nespresso coffee machine and free Wi-Fi. 

A complimentary bottle of wine from the region on arrival is also provided care of your host.  

The circular driveway has 2 entry points (enter on the main driveway with black iron, letter box) and provides parking for up to 4 cars or a  small boat. 

Enjoy the comfort of ducted heating and air-conditioning with ceiling fans in the living, and three main bedrooms.  

This semi rural property is on tank water and has filtered, drinking water.  

During the cooler seasons, there is an open fireplace and a firepit for outdoor use on the lower concrete tier which offers a further space to relax and entertain.

Please note: Being a large semi-rural property with two dams, on busy White Hill Road, the gateway to the wineries, this property is not securely fenced therefore we are unable to host pets at this time.

  • STRICT NO PARTY POLICY – This is due to the strict code of conduct enforced by the Mornington Peninsula Shire for Short Stays.  NO ‘Schoolies’, Bucks or Hens party groups allowed. Bridal or wedding guests are welcome.
  • Groups must be over 27 years of age. Younger groups (22 – 26 years of age) may apply subject to approval and special conditions, including an additional daily supervision fee of $200.  
  • No smoking or candles indoors please.
  • No use of hair colourants, dyes and self-tanning cremes or products as these products can permanently stain linens and furnishings. 
  • A security bond is required of $1,000 for this property. 
  • Property is not fully fenced, including no fencing around the 2 dams. No pets please.
