Sandringham was originally known as “Gypsy Village” back in the days when it was a fishing village around Picnic Point. Since then it has retained its charm and village feel, along with its iconic palm trees.
Sandringham is popular for its sandy beaches, nearby sailing clubs, boutique shops and restaurants, coastal walking/cycling paths and proximity to the city. A landmark on Sandringham’s foreshore is the band rotunda, situated on the clifftop overlooking the beach. Built in 1926, the rotunda is surrounded by palm trees, lawns and gardens where you can enjoy stunning coastal views.
